I am excited to be a part of WiN, an organization about building people up.
I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science from University of Maine and a Master of Natural Resources Degree from Virginia Tech. I have been fortunate to work with NRCS protecting resources in the foothills of Maine (where we had our farm), in Coastal Virginia (where I learned to love pier fishing and sweet potato biscuits!), in Southwest Georgia (where I fell in love with creamed corn), in the birthplace of our Agency: the dusty plains of Kansas (where I was humbled by the dustbowl survivors), and now in the magnificence of our Pacific Islands (where Conservation is an emergency-not just a goodwill effort).
I am passionate about local food, food justice, and sustainable living. I enjoy gardening, hiking, running, and researching cultural history.
I look forward to representing WiN as the Pacific Islands Regional Representative. I believe we can lift each other up and create a work atmosphere where people can be themselves and advance. Diversity brings more flexible thinking to the table, so I support increasing the variety of ideas and approaches that a diverse workforce has to offer. WiN can offer everyone an opportunity to identify, and plan, their actions to realize their goals.
